Molydal has made industrial lubricants since 1958. It is a family-run French company based in Saint-Maximin, in the Oise, and it works only with professionals.

Its own R&D laboratory lets it develop products for specific sectors, from food plants to steel mills. The range covers greases and pastes, maintenance sprays, degreasers, metalworking fluids and hydraulic and gear oils, with lubrication equipment alongside. Molydal also has an "ecofriendly" line of bio-based products, several of which carry USDA BioPreferred labels, and a food-grade range for incidental food contact.
